Help shape the financial future of a housing association where everyone has the chance to belong, grow and thrive.

As our Director of Treasury, you’ll make sure every new home we build and every home we improve stands on a strong financial foundation. This strategically critical leadership role supports all three pillars of our corporate strategy. You’ll shape our long-term financial strategy, funding structures and liquidity, lead our corporate funding strategy, manage our £2.5bn debt portfolio and investments, and raise the funding we need to meet liquidity requirements and covenant compliance. You’ll be our go-to expert on treasury, debt and security charging matters, build trusted relationships with existing and potential financial stakeholders and, with others where needed, take on relevant responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer in their absence.

What you’ll do

You’ll own Abri’s Treasury Strategy, Annual Treasury Plans and Treasury Management Policy, keeping them in line with our Corporate Strategy and best practice. You’ll provide an effective treasury service with the right internal and external controls for financial risk, manage our investments and cash surpluses, mitigate counterparty risk, oversee long-term cash flow forecasting so we always have enough liquidity, and develop and manage our securitisation plan. You’ll report regularly on treasury activity and compliance, including presenting at Investment Committee and Board meetings where appropriate, and critically evaluate strategic corporate options for viability, commercial aspects and appropriateness. You’ll work closely with the Director of Finance and the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to support the Chief Financial Officer and wider Abri Leadership, lead and motivate your treasury team, and make sure services in the directorate are effective, efficient and good value for money.

Who you are

You’re an experienced treasury professional who sees the bigger picture, builds trust with funders and stakeholders, and brings a team with you. Curious, open and collaborative, you want your expertise to make a difference to people’s homes and lives.

Why join us

We believe everyone deserves a good quality, safe, warm and sustainable home in a community where they can belong, grow and thrive. Our values bring us together: be the difference, stay always curious, achieve together, own it openly and embrace possibility. We celebrate different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, and we warmly welcome applications from everyone.

INDABRI

Abri is a large housing provider who own and manage more than 58,000 homes and various community assets, serving around 113,000 customers across the South of England.

We believe everyone has the right to a good quality safe, warm and sustainable home in a community where they can belong, grow and thrive. What does that look like in real terms?

We’re investing £689m over the next ten years in our existing homes to improve building safety and make them more energy efficient.

  • We’re delivering 10,000 homes by 2030, ensuring affordable housing is built where it’s needed most
  • We’re investing in our communities, to address local issues and create opportunities for everyone

As we grow, we’re re-establishing our strong local presence to provide a really good service. Abri has adopted a regional approach to service delivery, with our operating areas split into three, each with their local governance and leadership. This will ensure our colleagues are more visible, accountable and better connected to our customers and local communities to meet their diverse needs.
