About this Role

Are you an organised Administration Assistant looking for your next opportunity in the bus and coach industry? Also known as a Maintenance Operations Administrator, Maintenance Administrator or Service Administrator, this role at Dawsongroup Bus & Coach will support the maintenance team, helping minimise vehicle downtime and maintain excellent customer service.

  • Manage departmental inboxes, respond to routine enquiries and direct correspondence to the appropriate colleagues.
  • Act as a key contact for repair agents, customers, suppliers and internal departments, chasing outstanding information and updates.

  • Support management reporting, KPI information, supplier performance records, repair agent audits and routine finance queries.
  • Help coordinate Maintenance Controller diaries, workloads and absence cover following suitable training, while identifying opportunities to improve processes.

About You

You’re organised, proactive and take pride in keeping information accurate and up to date. You’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities, communicating with different people and taking ownership of your work in a busy operational environment.

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence handling enquiries and following up outstanding information.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams, and the ability to learn new systems.
  • A methodical approach to problem solving, with the ability to work independently and adapt as priorities change.
  • Experience in transport, fleet, engineering, supplier administration or reporting would be beneficial, but is not essential. Transferable skills, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally valuable.

You do not need to tick every box to apply. If you have transferable skills, a willingness to learn and the right approach, we would love to hear from you.
