Insight Director – Public Perceptions
This role is ‘Associate Director’ level and would suit an Associate Director looking for a change, or ambitious Research Manager ready to take the next step.
Location: Birmingham, London, Manchester, Bristol or Glasgow.

At BMG Research, we help public sector organisations make better decisions through a deeper understanding of public opinion, behaviours, attitudes and experiences. Our research informs policy, communications, service design and strategic decision-making across the public sector and beyond.
We are looking for an experienced Insight Director to join our growing Public Perceptions Research Practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-profile research and consultancy programmes that explore public attitudes towards some of society's most important issues. You'll work with central government departments, local government, public bodies, regulators, charities and other organisations seeking to understand public perspectives and use evidence to shape policy and strategy.
As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding research, developing lasting client relationships and growing BMG's reputation as a leading provider of public perceptions and opinion research.
The Role:
As an Insight Director, you will lead the design, delivery and quality assurance of complex quantitative, qualitative and mixed-method research programmes.
You will help clients answer critical questions such as:
You'll provide consultancy throughout the research lifecycle, translating complex evidence into clear, actionable recommendations that influence decision-making at the highest levels.
Alongside project leadership, you will contribute to business development, helping secure and grow research programmes within BMG's public sector client base.

About You:
We're looking for someone who combines excellent research expertise with strong commercial awareness and a genuine passion for understanding people’s attitudes and behaviour.
You are likely to have:
Experience working with media, political parties, regulators, combined authorities, local government, central government or other public sector organisations would be particularly valuable. Experience and interest in online safety, technology and digital experiences would be an advantage.
