We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People Team and deliver recruitment and onboarding for a varied portfolio of specialist and technical vacancies. Partnering with hiring managers and heads of department, you’ll combine hands-on vacancy delivery with recruitment planning, market insight and improvements to hiring capability. You’ll help shape how we attract and welcome talent, strengthen our employer brand and see the impact of your work across the business.

What we want you to do

  • Manage recruitment and onboarding across multiple business areas, from agreeing requirements and sourcing candidates through to offer, pre-employment checks and the new starter handover, delivering an efficient service for hiring teams and candidates.
  • Create and deliver recruitment plans that meet agreed hiring needs, selecting appropriate sourcing channels and actively managing pipelines to deliver appointments within agreed timescales and service expectations.
  • Partner with hiring managers and heads of department to understand workforce requirements, develop recruitment strategies and provide market insight to support hiring decisions.
  • Build Clear Business’s visibility in the talent market by identifying and using relevant channels, including social media, careers fairs, networking events and return-to-work groups.
  • Coordinate contracts, references and required background checks for external and internal hires, ensuring a smooth handover into the wider onboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data and documentation across people systems, ensuring service levels and data integrity are consistently met.
  • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and the preferred supplier list, including establishing new partnerships where required.
  • Support the development of hiring manager capability through activities such as interview shadowing, coaching and recruitment skills development.

What success in the role looks like

  • Seeing great people join the business and knowing your support has made the hiring experience better for candidates and managers alike.
  • Bringing our employer brand to life and exploring fresh attraction approaches that connect us with a wider range of talented people.
  • Having the trust and autonomy to use your judgement, shape sourcing strategies and find the right route to specialist talent.
  • Creating fair, thoughtful assessment experiences that help candidates show their strengths and enable managers to make confident decisions.
  • Giving every new colleague a welcoming, well-organised start so they feel prepared, connected and excited to join Clear Business.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Strong end-to-end recruitment experience, including agreeing requirements, sourcing, selection, offer management and onboarding.
  • Experience recruiting for specialist or technical roles and adapting sourcing and assessment approaches to different vacancy types and levels.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with experience using recruitment data and market insight to advise, influence and constructively challenge managers and heads of department.
  • Experience designing and delivering candidate attraction strategies and using different channels to build strong and diverse applicant pools.
  • Experience using applicant tracking or recruitment systems to manage vacancies, candidate records, recruitment activity and reporting accurately.
  • Good practical knowledge of employment legislation relevant to recruitment and selection, together with current knowledge of candidate attraction tools, sourcing techniques and social media recruitment.
  • Understanding of candidate assessment methods and how to tailor fair, effective selection approaches for different roles and levels.
  • A strong service focus and continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities and identify practical ways to improve recruitment outcomes and processes.
  • Recruitment exposure within technology, data or debt-related disciplines would be advantageous
