Earn, Learn and Build Your Future with Fairhive

Looking to start your career while gaining valuable workplace experience and a nationally recognised qualification?

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Support Apprentice to join our Community Engagement Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop practical business administration skills, work alongside experienced professionals and play an important role in supporting residents and local communities.

You don't need extensive experience. If you're organised, eager to learn, confident communicating with others and ready to develop your career, we'd love to hear from you.

About Fairhive

Fairhive is a forward-thinking, non-profit housing association providing affordable homes and services to more than 20,000 residents. We're passionate about creating thriving communities and putting our residents at the heart of everything we do.

We value innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement, and we're committed to making a positive difference to the people and communities we serve.

About the Role

As a Business Support Apprentice, you'll become an integral part of our Community Engagement Team, providing administrative support while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment.

Alongside your day-to-day role, you'll complete a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship, giving you the skills, knowledge and experience to build a successful long-term career in administration, customer service, housing or community engagement.

This apprenticeship combines practical workplace learning with dedicated study time, allowing you to earn while you learn. You'll receive the equivalent of one day per week to focus on your apprenticeship studies.

The role is based in Aylesbury, with opportunities for agile working.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Community Engagement Team, you will:

  • Provide administrative and business support to help the team deliver excellent services.

  • Coordinate and organise a range of business support activities and events.

  • Build positive relationships with resident volunteers and community groups.

  • Promote volunteering opportunities and encourage resident involvement.

  • Maintain accurate records of engagement activities using our housing management systems.

  • Support the delivery of resident engagement initiatives and community projects.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Fairhive to achieve shared goals.

  • Develop valuable skills in administration, communication, organisation and customer service through practical experience and apprenticeship learning.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from people who are:

  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn.

  • Organised and able to manage their time effectively.

  • Confident communicating with a range of people.

  • Comfortable using IT systems or willing to learn new technology.

  • Passionate about supporting communities and making a difference.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain recognised qualifications, valuable workplace experience and a strong foundation for your future career.

Start your career journey with Fairhive and help make a positive difference in our communities.
