The role is being offered on a Fixed Term basis until 5th of November 2027, part time, over 22.2 hours a week. The salary is £15,526.68 per annum (FTE £25,877.80)

We're looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Neighbourhood Services Administrator to support our Neighbourhood Services Team and help deliver efficient, high-quality services to our residents across Cornwall.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, managing a wide variety of administrative tasks, and being part of a team that puts customers at the heart of everything it does.

What you will be doing:

As a key member of the Neighbourhood Services Team, you'll provide comprehensive administrative support across a range of housing services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a variety of administrative tasks including correspondence, filing, scanning, mail merges and data processing.
  • Supporting housing management functions, including mutual exchanges and empty homes processes.
  • Processing property terminations, applications, nominations and lettings administration.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data is updated promptly and correctly.
  • Producing reports and performance information.
  • Organising meetings, events and travel arrangements.
  • Taking accurate minutes and supporting team meetings.
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and organisational policies.
  • Providing excellent customer service to residents, colleagues and external partners. 

What we are looking for:

We're seeking someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable and professional
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Experienced in administration and data entry
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
  • Skilled at communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Committed to delivering outstanding customer service
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexible, proactive and keen to learn and develop their skills 

Essential Requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Experience using IT systems and databases.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Minute-taking experience.
  • Knowledge of data protection principles and GDPR.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety responsibilities. 

Desirable:

  • Experience within housing, local government or social housing.
  • Experience working with external agencies and partners.
  • Business correspondence or letter-writing experience.
  • Experience coordinating projects, events or processes.
  • A Level qualifications or equivalent.
  • A recognised IT qualification such as ECDL
