We’re looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Estimator (individual skill set will be considered) to join our team and play a role in delivering robust, cost-effective solutions for our UK water industry clients. There is flexibility on where the successful candidate can be based, our main offices being Ilkeston and Apsley (Hertfordshire), but this can be discussed further in the application process and we welcome applications outside of these locations for this role. 

Ideally you will have an understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and ICA. However, applicants who demonstrate either strong mechanical or electrical / ICA will still be considered.

As a MEICA Estimator, you’ll be responsible for producing cost estimates for multidisciplinary water non-infrastructure projects. You will engage with our supply chain with requests for quotations and undertakes review, assessment and recommendation for quotations received. You will ensure that scopes of work are priced competently and accurately with an assessment of risk also, you will participate in Project Governance presenting estimates prepared and achieving Governance acceptance. This role is central to supporting high-quality project delivery and involves close collaboration with internal teams and external supply chain partners.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in MEICA estimation within the UK water industry or similar sectors
  • Analytical and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Team players
  • Proficiency in MS office package and added experience if applicable in estimating software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a tender environment
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to project sites as required by the role
