We’re looking for a Community Safety Assistant to join our vibrant Neighbourhood Housing team for 18.5 hours per week over 2.5 days. The successful candidate will play a key role in our targeted approach to preventing and responding to anti-social behaviour. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with internal colleagues and external agencies to ensure serious cases of ASB, DV and Hate Crime are progressed without unnecessary delay.
  • Assist the Community Safety Team in delivering high standards of service, customer satisfaction and upper quartile performance (where benchmarked)
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering telephone calls, typing letters, typing meeting minutes, scanning and electronic file maintenance.

Who we are looking for:

Our successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in housing environment
  • Experience of customer service (including complaint handling and coordination)
  • Good IT skills and experience of using Microsoft office applications (word, excel, teams, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication skills with customers, and to be able to understand their needs, often in emotional and sensitive situations.
