Purpose:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Recoveries Paralegal to join our busy and fast paced Motor Recoveries Team in our Edinburgh city centre office.

This exciting opening would suit someone with 2+ years experience in motor insurance claims.

Hybrid working:  

This position is based in our Edinburgh city centre office with a combination of home and office working (working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home). You would therefore need the infrastructure in place to work from home and will be provided with a company laptop.

Duties/Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Completing the initial training, which may require you to work in the office full time initially before moving to hybrid working.
  • Managing a full caseload of motor recovery claims.
  • Pursuing claims through the various stages and making full use of our case management system.
  • Complying fully with agreed service standards.
  • Communicating with clients, insurers, expert witnesses, and solicitors.
  • Dealing with administration as required.

Skills/Competencies required: 

  • Effective people skills (able to work well with colleagues, clients, etc.).
  • The ability to prioritise your work.
  • An organised approach to work.
  • Computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word).
  • Effective numeracy and literacy skills.

You will be a team player with good attention to detail, the ability to use your own initiative and to work to strict deadlines. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
