The Vacancy
Malaria Consortium is recruiting a new Trustee with legal expertise.
We are seeking a Trustee with strong legal experience to join our Board and contribute to the effective governance and oversight of Malaria Consortium.
The Trustee will provide strategic legal insight to support the Board in fulfilling its duties and ensuring the organisation operates in accordance with its legal and regulatory obligations. This includes contributing to discussions on governance, risk management, compliance, and organisational decision-making, as well as helping the Board navigate complex legal considerations relevant to an international charity.
We are particularly interested in candidates with legal experience relevant to the charity sector. This may include familiarity with charity and company law, regulatory frameworks, constitutional requirements, delegated authorities, and governance best practice. Experience advising on legal risk, safeguarding charity assets, managing contractual or regulatory matters, and supporting transparent, accountable governance would be highly valuable.
This role would suit someone with senior-level legal experience, gained either in private practice, in-house, government, or the not-for-profit sector. Previous experience as a Trustee or Non-Executive Director would be advantageous but is not essential.
The time commitment for this role is approximately two days per month. Further details can be found in the role description attached.
