We are looking for an experienced Pensions Executive to join our Education Services team on a 6 month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a pensions professional with experience in the education sector to play a key role in supporting schools and academy trusts, ensuring pension services are delivered accurately, compliantly, and to the highest standard.

Working closely with the Pension Team Leader and wider bureau team, you will act as a subject matter expert on pension administration, supporting colleagues, providing technical guidance, and helping clients navigate pension-related queries and legislative requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

Pension Administration & Client Support

  • Ensure pension processing is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Manage and resolve pension related queries from schools, academies, and other education sector clients.
  • Support the administration of the Teachers' Pension Scheme and stay up to date with scheme developments and requirements.
  • Assist with MCR submissions, error resolution, reconciliations, and suspense management.
  • Ensure clients receive a high-quality, professional service at all times.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across pension processes and procedures.

Technical & Legislative Expertise

  • Act as a pension legislation specialist within the team.
  • Keep abreast of changes to pension regulations, government policy, and Teachers' Pension Scheme requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on pension administration best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance, and client outcomes.

Team Support & Collaboration

  • Support the Pension Team Leader in maintaining a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
  • Assist colleagues with workload planning and prioritisation.
  • Support the tracking of team performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Help investigate and resolve client concerns and complaints.
  • Assist with maintaining pension trackers and reporting activities.
  • Deliver coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing across the team.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in pension administration, ideally within the education sector.
  • Strong understanding of the Teachers' Pension Scheme.
  • Experience managing pension submissions, reconciliations, and pension-related queries.
  • Familiarity with pension processing software and payroll systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
