Young Futures Outreach Support Officer (Part Time)
Location: Endurance House, Histon, Cambridge, CB24 9ZR
Salary: £31,227.26 pa which equates to £20,818.17 pa for 25 hrs
Permanent/part-time position – 25 hours per week
Due to the expansion of the service and additional funding, this has created an exciting new position within CHS as a Support Officer in our Young Futures Support Service Team. This will enable us to further strengthen the support available to young people (aged 16-25 years) across several shared houses in Cambridge and South Cambs.
What you’ll do
In this varied and interesting role, you will provide support and guidance for young people aged 16-25 who would otherwise be homeless. You will assist them to identify and meet their personal goals, in areas such as independent living skills, coping strategies, tenancy sustainment, obtaining/maintaining employment, education or training, and maintaining their physical and mental wellbeing. You will work closely with other agencies to provide comprehensive practical and emotional support. You will be responsive and proactive in meeting the needs of young people, meeting them in their homes and in the community. You will also contribute to the delivery of housing management and implement health and safety procedures.
