Technical Coordinator
Location: Spalding

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Coordinator to support our Technical function in delivering the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in FMCG manufacturing who enjoys data analysis, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Support technical systems, databases, and reporting processes.
  • Generate KPI reports, trend analysis, and performance data.
  • Manage customer and consumer complaints, investigations, and responses.
  • Complete traceability exercises, mass balance checks, and internal audits.
  • Support customer visits and third-party audits.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and non-conformance management.
  • Coordinate laboratory exceptions, retests, and associated investigations.
  • Maintain technical documentation and records.
  • Support raw material approval, specification management, risk assessments, and supplier assurance activities.
  • Play an active role in HACCP, food safety, quality management systems, and continuous improvement projects.

Essential

  • Experience within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment (1–2 years minimum).
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and accurately.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Good English literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Level 2 Food Safety in Manufacturing.
  • Level 2 HACCP.
  • Level 2 Health & Safety.
  • Team player with a proactive and positive approach.

Desirable

  • Internal Auditing experience.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and products.
  • Understanding of technical systems such as QUOR and labelling systems.
  • Basic culinary knowledge and understanding of food production processes.
