We’re recruiting for an Asset Delivery Planned Works Inspector to join our team in Portsmouth. While you’ll be contractually based out of our Portsmouth office, you’ll spend a lot of your time out on our sites.
This is a full-time role working 37 hours a week on a 6 month fixed term basis, with a minimum of 20% of this to be office-based to promote collaboration and team working.

As the Asset Delivery Planned Works Inspector, you’ll provide on-site inspections of works undertaken, ensuring that the workmanship, quality, and safety of work are as required. Some of your responsibilities will include inspecting both ongoing and completed works, monitoring and reporting progress and ensuring stakeholders are up to date, and ensuring compliance with building regulations and H&S requirements. You’ll work closely with Project Supervisors, review and agree variations, and maintain accurate records of project progress.
In this role, you'll support Project Supervisors by verifying works completed, identifying opportunities for performance improvement, and documenting emerging risks. You’ll attend project meetings, provide ad-hoc support, and represent the organisation on-site for defect resolution. Your communication skills will be crucial as you’ll liaise between customers, contractors, and various teams across the business. You will also support on resolving complaints.
You’ll be proactive in leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. You will ensure effective communication throughout the delivery of works and respond to customer enquiries and complaints, aiming to provide a first-class service.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in inspecting construction works, inspecting scaffolds, a strong understanding of health and safety procedures, and excellent communication and analytical skills. A strong understanding of roofing is essential to support our 100% inspection process on roof replacements.
You’ll have the ability to identify areas for improvement, exercise good judgment, and work collaboratively with teams. A construction-related qualification and previous experience in a similar role are desirable but not essential.
A full clean UK clean driving licence is required.
