We have an exciting role on offer within our Residential service as a Home Support Manager.

Are you ready to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of children and young people? We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and inspiring Home Support Manager to lead a team that supports young people to feel safe, happy, and able to reach their full potential.

In this role, you will lead a dedicated team working with children and young people who may have a range of needs, including autism, physical disabilities, complex emotional needs, and behaviours that may challenge. You will play a key part in creating a warm, stable, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, listened to, and included, and where they are supported to grow in confidence and independence.

As a Home Support Manager, you will not only oversee the day-to-day running of the service but also guide and develop your team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. This includes supporting staff through supervision, coaching, and development, managing performance, and ensuring the service meets regulatory standards, including CQC and safeguarding requirements. You will work closely with families, carers, and partner organisations to make sure children and young people receive the right support at the right time. You will help shape services that allow children to remain in their homes and communities wherever possible, providing tailored support, short breaks, and opportunities for positive experiences. From planning meaningful activities to encouraging everyday moments of fun, creativity, and connection, your leadership will ensure children feel supported in all areas of their lives, including their emotional wellbeing, health, development, and social connections.

The role also involves driving continuous improvement by monitoring service quality, managing resources effectively, and working collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders. You will lead on service planning, build strong partnerships, and contribute to developing a service that consistently delivers the best possible outcomes for children, young people, and their families. We are looking for someone who brings compassion, energy, and a sense of purpose, alongside strong leadership skills and experience in health or social care.

You will be confident in supporting children with complex needs, managing challenges positively, and inspiring your team to provide safe, caring, and high-quality support. The role is based primarily at West Middlesbrough Family Hub, with opportunities to work across services in the community. Flexible working patterns are part of the role to ensure the needs of children and families are met, and we are committed to supporting your wellbeing and work–life balance.

This is more than a job it’s an opportunity to lead with heart, support others to grow, and make a meaningful difference in your community every day.

Be able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
