At Scottish Rugby, we are adding to our team and looking for a Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day running of Scottish Gas Murrayfield, Hive Stadium and the wider Scottish Rugby campus. This is a hands-on, varied and high-impact role where no two days are the same. From matchdays and concerts to conferences, office operations and major events, you will help make sure our estate is safe, compliant, well maintained and ready to deliver outstanding experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge with practical problem-solving, strong planning and confident people management. You will work closely with internal teams, specialist contractors and event colleagues to keep our venues operating smoothly, professionally and safely throughout the year.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading the daily facilities management of a busy, high-profile sporting and events campus.
  • Making sure buildings, systems and spaces are safe, compliant, well maintained and ready for use.
  • Planning and coordinating maintenance, inspections, repairs and improvement works across the estate.
  • Managing contractors and suppliers, making sure work is delivered safely, on time and to the right standard.
  • Supporting event readiness for rugby matches, concerts, conferences and other major activities.
  • Responding quickly and calmly to operational issues, finding practical solutions and keeping key people informed.
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues across events, operations, security, grounds, commercial teams and office users.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong facilities management experience, ideally in a complex, multi-use or event-led environment.
  • Good technical understanding of building services, maintenance, compliance and contractor management.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-moving setting.
  • A confident communicator who can work well with a wide range of people and teams.
  • A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Sound judgement, attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and service standards.
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure, especially during busy event periods.
