We're seeking a PR & Communications Manager to join our growing marketing team. This is a great opportunity for a commercially-minded PR professional who can operate as a trusted adviser to partners while also being hands-on in developing stories, drafting content, and building a more proactive, externally-focused PR capability for the firm. The role can be based from any of our UK office locations. If you're looking for a role that combines strategic ownership, senior stakeholder influence and hands-on delivery, we'd love to hear from you.

What will I be doing?

  • Developing and delivering a proactive PR and communications strategy aligned to the firm's priorities, sectors and practice areas. You'll build a pipeline of media opportunities across thought leadership, deal activity, market commentary, and reactive media moments.
  • Briefing, drafting and editing high-quality PR and communications materials, including press releases, media pitches, partner commentary, bylined articles, and briefing notes.
  • Building strong relationships with national, business, legal and sector media, positioning partners as trusted commentators in their areas of expertise, and securing high-quality coverage that enhances the firm's profile.
  • Identifying, shaping, and developing compelling, newsworthy stories by working closely with partners and colleagues, translating complex legal and commercial issues into engaging content for external audiences.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to partners and senior stakeholders, providing strategic communications counsel, media coaching, key messaging, briefing materials and constructive challenge to maximise impact.
  • Supporting the effective running of a press office function. You'll handle media enquiries, advise on sensitive issues, and contribute to the firm's approach to reputation management
  • Working collaboratively across Marketing, Business Development and the wider firm to ensure consistent messaging and that PR activity is fully integrated with wider marketing campaigns, digital channels, content and events to maximise impact.
  • Managing PR activity from planning through to delivery and evaluation, coordinating internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure high-quality, timely execution.
  • Managing external PR agencies, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance and ensuring activity delivers measurable, commercially relevant outcomes aligned to firm priorities.
  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting on PR performance, using data and insight to demonstrate value, and improve effectiveness.

You'll have

  • Extensive PR and communications experience, ideally within professional services, an agency or a journalistic background.
  • A proven track record of securing high-quality media coverage and delivering proactive PR campaigns.
  • Excellent media relations capability, writing, and editorial skills, with strong news judgement and the ability to identify compelling stories and translate complex topics into engaging content.
  • Confidence in your communication. You'll be a trusted adviser and able to influence, support and constructively challenge senior stakeholders and partners with credibility.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to think strategically. You'll be able to align communications activity with business priorities, identify opportunities, and use data and insight to measure impact and demonstrate value.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative and hands-on approach to delivery. You'll have sound judgement, particularly when managing sensitive or high-profile issues.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships across the firm.
