The role

As Head of Centre 56 you will provide strategic and operational leadership for Centre 56, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, trauma-informed services for children and families affected by domestic abuse and crisis.

You will be responsible for:

Overall performance, sustainability and growth of the charity.
Delivery of the Centre 56 Business Plan and strategic objectives.
Safeguarding, regulatory compliance and Ofsted readiness.
Financial management and income generation.
Building partnerships to increase reach, referrals and impact.

This role will ensure Centre 56 delivers its vision of a safe, nurturing and empowering environment where children and families can thrive and build stable futures

The right fit

You have significant leadership experience within either: Children’s services / early years / family support / charity sector
Experience of working in trauma-informed or safeguarding-focused environments.
Strong financial management and budget control experience.
Demonstrable success in income generation (fundraising, grants, partnerships) with the ability to build and sustain high value partnerships.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, EYFS and Ofsted frameworks.
Experience of inspection readiness and compliance.
Ability to use data to drive decision-making and performance.
Experience of KPI reporting, impact measurement and social value reporting is desirable.
You’re values-driven with a passion for supporting children and families.
Excellent communication skills with resilience, adaptability and solutions-focused mindset.
