Join our team as a Supporter Engagement Manager and make a difference!
Do you want a job where you can help others and have a positive impact on your community? Then we’ve got the perfect role for you.
The Supporter Engagement Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Supporter Engagement Team (SET). This team is at the heart of the fundraising function, offering support to donors, managing and analysing data and processing and acknowledging donations.
This role will support and manage the team, including the development of volunteer roles to enhance productivity. You will work collaboratively to support the wider fundraising team, advocate for an excellent supporter experience across all methods of giving and develop clear supporter journeys to help retain and attract supporters.
Key responsibilities:
You will play a key role in leading and supporting the Supporter Engagement Team, creating a collaborative environment where colleagues can thrive and deliver excellent results. The role is responsible for developing effective supporter journeys to retain donors and grow long-term giving, while also managing the Gift Aid budget through planning, forecasting and delivery against income targets. You will shape the strategic direction of donation processing and recording, including leading a CRM review and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and performance. In addition, you will oversee supporter communications to ensure they are timely, appropriate and consistent across channels, working closely with fundraising managers on campaigns including direct mail.
For the full details, you can read the attached job description or give the recruiting manager a call on 01246 567250 for an informal chat (it may be possible to arrange a visit to the hospice).
What you’ll bring:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and confident in managing and developing a team of staff and volunteers. With strong leadership and communication skills, you will foster a positive and collaborative environment where individuals feel supported and motivated to achieve shared goals.
You will be supporter-focused and data-driven, working closely with the Head of Fundraising to provide insight into our donors and contribute to strategic planning, as well as effective marketing and communications.
You will have experience of evaluating and improving policies and procedures and will lead a CRM system review project to ensure the fundraising database meets organisational needs and supports effective reporting and engagement.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage and inspire others to achieve excellent results. You will bring experience from fundraising, supporter engagement, customer service or a similar environment, alongside confident IT and database skills, including the use of CRM systems. With a keen eye for detail, personal integrity and a commitment to living the hospice values, you will also have a track record of reviewing and improving systems and procedures to drive efficiency. A flexible approach is essential, including the ability to work at events outside normal working hours and travel across North Derbyshire when needed.
