We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Fire Compliance Officer to join our team. This Fire Compliance Officer role is full time (35 hours), permanent, offering a salary of £38,700 per annum. As a Fire Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring fire safety compliance, managing fire risk assessments and supporting the safety of our homes and communities.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Fire Compliance Officer to join our Assets and Compliance team. In this important role, you’ll help make sure our homes and buildings remain safe, well maintained and fully compliant with fire safety requirements. Working closely with colleagues, contractors and external partners, you’ll support fire risk assessments, inspections, remedial works and tenant communication — making a real difference to the safety and wellbeing of the people who live in our homes.

As a Fire Compliance Officer, you will:

  • Manage and monitor Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and ensure actions are completed
  • Coordinate remedial fire safety works with contractors and internal teams
  • Carry out inspections and quality checks on completed works
  • Provide technical fire safety advice and ensure compliance with legislation
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and systems
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and enforcing bodies

 

About You

To succeed as a Fire Compliance Officer, you will have:

  • Knowledge of fire safety legislation and compliance frameworks
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing contractors and compliance programmes
  • A proactive, organised, and customer-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence

We welcome previous experience working as:
Compliance Officer, Fire Safety Officer, Housing Officer, Building Surveyor, Property Inspector, Health & Safety Advisor, Maintenance Coordinator, Facilities Officer — or any role with transferable compliance or property safety experience.
