Safeguarding Caseworker based at North LIndsey College
Permanent, Full time 35.5 hours per week
Salary £27,944 - £30,468
We are seeking a committed and compassionate Safeguarding Caseworker to join our Wellbeing, Inclusion, Safeguarding and Prevent team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of students and apprentices, ensuring they are safe, supported and able to thrive in a positive learning environment.
You will play a key role in supporting learners in relation to safeguarding, child protection and Prevent, working closely with internal colleagues and external agencies. This position is ideal for someone who is confident managing sensitive cases, working collaboratively, and maintaining a student-centred approach at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a central point of contact for safeguarding referrals, liaising with internal teams and external agencies.
Manage and progress referrals to appropriate external services, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with legislation, policies and best practice.
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including Child Protection conferences and Team Around the Family meetings.
Support safeguarding training and awareness activities across the organisation.
Essential Criteria:
Experience of working with young people or vulnerable adults, ideally within an education or similar setting.
Proven experience of working with statutory agencies and managing complex safeguarding referrals.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and Prevent legislation and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and empathetically.

Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
