This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

It’s an exciting time to join Redmayne Bentley. After recently celebrating our 150th year in business, we are entering the next stage of our firm‑wide strategy — building on our strong heritage while continuing to evolve, improve and invest in the future.

Our Finance team is looking for a Procurement Manager to lead the development and implementation of a consistent, scalable procurement approach across Redmayne Bentley.

This is a newly created role within our Finance department, responsible for strengthening supplier governance, improving value for money, and ensuring effective oversight of sourcing, contracting, supplier performance and renewals across the firm.

You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Risk, IT Security and operational teams, acting as a trusted colleague to support procurement decisions while balancing commercial, service, regulatory and information security considerations.

This is a role where someone with experience and a great team ethic can thrive and make a noticeable impact to our aims and mission. Within our close-knit firm, you will not be a small cog in a much larger wheel – you will be valued, appreciated, and respected for your skills as well as rewarded by a firm that truly cares about its colleagues and their wellbeing.

Further specific details about the role can be found in the job description attached to this advert.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead sourcing, tender and supplier selection activities.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, service levels and contractual arrangements.
  • Maintain the firm’s contract register and renewal pipeline.
  • Implement supplier performance management and review processes.
  • Coordinate supplier due diligence, onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
  • Strengthen procurement controls, approvals and documentation standards.
  • Support visibility of third-party spend, cost savings and value-for-money opportunities.
  • Develop and embed procurement policies, processes and practical guidance.
  • Work closely with Risk, Compliance, IT Security and operational teams to support effective supplier governance.
  • Produce procurement reporting covering key contracts, renewals, supplier performance and savings opportunities.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across the firm and act as a trusted adviser on procurement matters.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Knowledge

  • Demonstrable experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management or contract management.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills, with experience of agreeing pricing, service levels and contractual terms.
  • Experience of managing supplier performance, contract renewals and procurement governance processes.
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and balance commercial, operational, risk and regulatory considerations.
  • Relevant professional procurement qualification desirable but not essential.

Skills & Behaviours

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence across the business.
  • Commercially astute, pragmatic and able to exercise sound judgement.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present recommendations clearly.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a growing business environment.

We also expect all candidates to demonstrate our core values of Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility and Teamwork.

What does the future look like?

Once you are settled into the role, you will be able to take on more responsibility within the role and develop your skills and experience further through CPD and other development opportunities.

Redmayne Bentley provides support for colleagues to achieve further industry standard qualifications, if that is something they wish to do.

For someone who is keen to progress further in this field, there will be developmental and coaching support provided for you to potentially progress into a more senior role in the future.
