This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We’re looking for an IT Software & SQL Developer to join our team in Grimsby and play a key role in shaping and delivering modern, data-driven solutions. You’ll be working across a Microsoft-focused tech stack, helping to build scalable applications, streamline processes through automation, and create insightful reporting that drives better business decisions.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll design, develop, and optimise solutions across the Power Platform, SQL Server, and reporting tools. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical implementations, working across the full development lifecycle to enhance performance, reliability, and user experience as part of an ongoing technology transformation programme.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver solutions using Microsoft Power Platform
  • Design, build, and optimise SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures
  • Create and maintain SSRS reports, dashboards, and automated reporting packs
  • Develop interactive Power BI dashboards, including data modelling and DAX
  • Gather requirements and translate them into scalable, data-driven solutions
  • Build and maintain ETL processes and system integrations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data, reporting, and performance issues
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and governance best practices are followed
  • Support testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of solutions
     

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong experience with SQL Server and database development
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform
  • Solid experience with reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS)
  • Good understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and performance optimisation
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps, Git)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking
  • Confident communicator, able to work with both technical and business stakeholders
