The Vacancy
About Us
At James Brown Funeral Directors, we are proud to have been serving our local communities with care, compassion, and professionalism since 1904. As part of Funeral Partners, we are committed to setting the highest standards within the profession and supporting families at the most difficult times in their lives.
Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We work as a team, supporting one another to deliver a respectful and dignified service to every family in our care.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable individual to join us as an Out of Hours Funeral Service Operative, supporting our on-call rota.
This is a unique and flexible role focused solely on bringing loved ones into our care when a death occurs out of hours. You will often be the first point of contact for families during difficult times, so professionalism, empathy, and discretion are essential.
Unlike a full-time Funeral Service Operative role, this position is dedicated exclusively to overnight, on-call work, with no daytime or weekend commitments required.
Working Pattern
This flexibility makes the role particularly suitable for students or individuals with other work or daytime commitments.
