In this pivotal role, you'll harness both established and emerging technologies to deliver powerful reporting and actionable insights that shape strategic decisions across the business. Your work will not only drive performance, it will also elevate our internal data culture, build capability and confidence across teams.

As a trusted expert, you’ll:

  • Lead the creation of dynamic dashboards, visualisations, and reports that bring clarity to complexity
  • Champion intuitive, self-serve analytics tools that empower stakeholders to explore and understand their data
  • Advise and influence at all levels of the organisation, translating technical insights into meaningful business outcomes
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with autonomy and precision

We’re looking for someone who’s not just skilled in data—but passionate about its potential to transform how we work, think, and grow as a business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own and deliver reporting and insights focused on payments products, including transaction performance, conversion, authorisation rates, failure analysis, and customer behaviour
  • Act as a subject matter expert in payments data, providing insight into trends, anomalies, and opportunities across end-to-end payment flows
  • Design and build intuitive, scalable dashboards and data visualisations that enable self-serve access for stakeholders
  • Drive the adoption of data-led decision-making within payments, improving data literacy and encouraging proactive use of insight
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Technology teams to shape and enhance the underlying data model for payments products
  • Define and uphold reporting standards, governance, and best practice across payments analytics
  • Contribute strategically to the data roadmap, ensuring alignment with payments product priorities and wider business objectives

What Success Looks Like

  • Clear, actionable insights and visualisations that support a data-informed culture across the business.
  • Strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders—you're seen as a go-to expert and advisor.
  • Agile, responsive delivery that meets tight deadlines and adapts to evolving needs.
  • Robust data governance and security practices that reinforce trust and integrity in our data ecosystem.

Your experience

  • Proven experience in a reporting and insights role, delivering value-led outcomes and driving adoption of self-service analytics.
  • Experience working with payments data, financial transactions, or e-commerce/payment flows, desirable.
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud and on-premise reporting tools, with a track record of contributing to data asset development.
  • Expertise in Power BI (essential), plus familiarity with tools like SSRS, Looker, Tableau, or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills (essential), with Python experience a plus.
  • Experience using data production tools such as SQL Server Management Studio or Databricks.
  • Ability to coach and mentor users in adopting new reporting solutions.
  • Comfortable working in agile environments and managing stakeholder expectations from discovery to delivery.

Skills that will set you apart:

  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with an 80/20 approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to link data insights to business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills—you can translate complex data into compelling visual stories.
  • Agile delivery capabilities within both traditional and modern project frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2–4 years’ experience in a data insights role with a proven track record of delivering transformational reporting solutions.
  • Strong grasp of data integration and engineering principles.
  • High proficiency in Power BI and SQL; working knowledge of Python or similar data languages.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus.
