The Vacancy
We're looking for a Junior Physiotherapist to join the team at Edinburgh Rugby. This is a role designed to give you real clinical responsibility from day one, within a supportive team that is genuinely invested in your growth.
You will work directly alongside experienced senior clinicians, delivering hands-on treatment and rehabilitation support to a professional squad, contributing to match day medical cover, and building the foundations of a long-term career in high-performance sport. If you have the skills, the hunger to learn and the attitude to thrive in an elite environment, this is the place to start.
What you will be doing:
Providing manual therapy, soft tissue work and acute injury management to the squad
Assisting with gym and on-grass rehab sessions, monitoring loading and technique throughout, and collecting objective data that feeds the RTP process
Providing secondary pitch-side cover at training and assist the medical team on home and away match days
Supporting colleagues with injury surveillance data entry and contributing to internal clinical audits
What we’re looking for:
Chartered Physiotherapist (HCPC & CSP registered), with Level 2 or 3 Pitch-side Trauma Certification
Previous internship or 1–2 years' experience in a sporting environment (rugby experience desirable)
Excellent time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
A growth mindset - collaborative, receptive to feedback and always looking to learn
