McCarthy Stone are recruitng for a Domestic Assistant to join the team at our Retirement Living Plus development, The Curlews in Exmouth, Devon.

Built in 2024, The Curlews is a Retirement Living Plus development that consists of 59 apartments with the over 70's in mind, providing excellent on-site facilities and set within beautiful grounds. This is not traditional care, this is better! 

Hourly rate: £12.24 per hour

Hours: 20 per week

About the role:

As a Domestic Assistant, you will be responsible for the domestic support and housekeeping, of  our homeowner apartments,  their laundry service and cleaning  or the development’s communal areas. You will support in the Bistro or Restaurant during service times and provide lifestyle services to our homeowners. These include, chaperoning homeowners to medical appointments, and/or other community related services, or simply offering social support. There are usually opportunities for overtime within nearby developments as well.

You will have:

  • Experience in a customer care or service role within a similar environment, such as health & social care, hospitality, retail, domestic services or even caring for a family member.
  • Cleaning experience and an awareness of COSH
  • Considerate, patient, and professional
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Be friendly and approachable
  • A hardworking diligent nature and good time keeping
