We are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Junior Systems Analyst to join our Systems Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to take the next step in their IT career, whether you're looking to build on existing experience or take your first step into the industry. We are open to candidates who have completed an apprenticeship, have some IT experience, or are looking to develop their technical skills further. As part of a pivotal central function supporting the Advanced Utility Networks Group of Companies, you’ll gain hands-on experience with a broad range of IT systems, technologies, and business processes, setting the foundation for your long-term career in IT.
What you’ll be doing:
- User Support: Providing support services to individual users across office, site, and remote working environments.
- IT Maintenance: Assisting in the maintenance and development of IT platforms across the AUN Group.
- Troubleshooting: Handling hardware and software troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Service Desk Management: Monitoring and managing the service desk queue, ensuring timely response and resolution of IT issues.
- Automation: Assisting in maintaining and improving automated deployment systems.
- Record Keeping: Keeping accurate records within the service desk system, including stock management.
- Skill Development: Proactively developing your skills to become self-sufficient in handling workloads.
- Communication: Communicating effectively with team members and key stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
- Someone with some IT experience or a strong interest in developing a career in IT.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft 365.
- An understanding of software, hardware, and peripherals.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical issues into practical terms for stakeholders at all levels.
- A team player who is people-oriented and able to collaborate effectively.
- A willingness to develop through supported training and self-study.
