Designer Contracts is the UK’s largest flooring contractor operating across 13 regional facilities. As well as floor covering, the company provides curtains and blinds, furniture and lighting.

Due to our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our friendly team at our Central Distribution Warehouse in Kettering.
Salary - £25,000 plus bonus
Type – Permanent, Full Time
Working Pattern – Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

The ideal candidate must be a strong team player with good attention to detail and a great attitude to work.
The main objectives of the role are to use material handling equipment (MHE) and bespoke machinery to pick, cut and load flooring in a safe and timely manner and to always ensure that the warehouse is secure, efficient and tidy at all times.
Other key areas of responsibilities include:
Ensuring that our health and safety standards are maintained at all times
Picking, cutting, loading and putting away stock
Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods from vehicles
Monitoring goods entering and leaving the warehouse
Ensuring all goods in the warehouse are labelled and stored safely, neatly and correctly
Processing waste streams into recyclable and non-recyclable bales
Carrying out housekeeping duties in relation to the warehouse
Ensuring stock and warehouse security
Key Requirements:
Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills
Great organisation skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
Must be willing to undertake training for a Fork Lift Truck certificate
Ability to work efficiently and safely under tight deadlines
