Summary of Role
This individual will work within the Business Solutions Team alongside other Business Analysts, under the broader remit of Business Solutions and Delivery. In conjunction with the Project Management Office, Business Solutions is responsible for facilitating the technology needs of multiple business lines in support of the Foresters Financial strategic goals, visions, and values.
The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with the key stakeholders to gather customer requirements, translate them into clear requirements documents, write compelling business cases and proposals, and then implement those approved and prioritized by the business to deliver cost-effective solutions. They must be detail oriented, yet able to see the big picture and work with the overall business, both in the day to day and at management levels, to drive a strategy which optimizes Foresters IT investment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Collaborate with stakeholders to find alternatives and solutions to business challenges. Seek out systems solutions (either internal to client or external 3rd party solutions) that can be leveraged to meet business requirements
Recognise opportunities for business improvement and recommend solutions which are consistent with business strategies, architecture and are fit for purpose
Work with staff at various levels within the organisation and provide key subject matter expertise to establish the contribution that proposed changes can make to business objectives and strategies
Work with the business in capturing high-level requirements and epics, deconstructing high-level requirements into user stories, and completing the Requirements Model with the Development Team
Maintain and develop knowledge of business processes, product knowledge, system interfaces and data models
Co-ordinate activities with 3rd party suppliers aligning tasks to joint delivery plans
Reconcile system deliveries against requirements to ensure business expectations are met
Aligning and managing individual work within the Business Solutions team to support the IT operating model
Conduct meetings and presentations to share solutions and/or outputs from analysis
Act as mentor to the more junior business analysts, providing feedback and coaching as necessary
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
At least five years’ experience in a Business Analyst role (ideally in a Financial Services environment)
Good business knowledge & previous experience in requirements definition
Great communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
Strong technical experience with good knowledge in Microsoft applications
Excellent understanding of multiple Software Development Lifecycle methodologies and processes at each stage within the cycles
Experience working with 3rd party software providers
Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
Demonstrable SQL Server Management Studio skills
Experience within the field of Financial Services would be desirable
BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis would be advantageous
Location.
Hybrid: two days a week based in our Head Office in Bromley, with flexibility to work remotely for the other three days.

How we collect your information
We collect this information in a variety of ways. Who has access to information

How long does Foresters keep information
If your application for employment is unsuccessful, we will hold your information on file for thirteen months after the end of the relevant recruitment process, it will then be destroyed.
